Alloy 20

Alloy 20, also known as Carpenter 20, is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy that contains copper and molybdenum. It has excellent corrosion resistance in many different acid environments, making it ideal for use in various industries, such as chemical processing and fertilizer production. In addition to its outstanding corrosion resistance, the composition of Alloy 20 makes it highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, even under high-temperature conditions. Its low carbon content and strong mechanical properties make it a great choice for applications requiring strength without creating stresses due to thermal expansion or contraction.

Alloy 20, or Carpenter 20, is austenitic stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and high chromium content. Its applications include chemical process vessels, inkjet printer components, pharmaceutical equipment, and various fasteners. Some of the main properties of Alloy 20 are its resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and sensitization in corrosive media. Additionally, it has good mechanical strength and toughness at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C), making it ideal for use in chemical processing or production environments.
