Aluminium 6063

Aluminium 6063 is an alloy of aluminium, magnesium, and silicon. It is one of the most popular alloys due to its strength, corrosion resistance, and malleability. The composite makeup consists of 0.2–0.6% (maximum) magnesium and 0.45-0.9% (maximum) silicon, with the rest being aluminium; this gives it excellent welding characteristics as well as superior finishing capabilities such as painting and anodizing, which makes it ideal for a variety of applications including windows frames, doorframes, curtain walls, furniture components etc.

Aluminium 6063 is a low- to medium-strength alloy with good machinability and weldability properties. It is highly corrosion resistant, weather resistant and has excellent workability under cold temperatures. In addition, it can be used in many different applications, such as bicycle frames, window frames, door frames, machine parts, electrical components and architectural structures due to its lightweight yet strong properties. Furthermore, it has fair strength characteristics typically found in the 6xxx series alloys, making Aluminium 6063 an ideal choice for manufacturing structural components.
