Aluminium 7075 is an aluminium alloy consisting of mainly zinc as the primary alloying element. In lower quantities, it also contains small amounts of magnesium, copper, manganese, chromium, and other elements. With a strength-to-weight ratio higher than most common alloys (including steel), it is often used in harsh outdoor conditions, such as aircraft components and marine applications. Its strength makes it ideal for use in parts that require high rigidity and low weight.
Aluminium 7075 is a high-strength alloy often used in aerospace, marine and automotive applications. It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and great fatigue strength. It is also lightweight, making it ideal for applications where weight savings are important. Furthermore, Al7075 offers good machinability and weldability properties, making it easy to work with for manufacturing purposes. Additionally, due to its superior strength-to-weight ratio, this aluminium alloy can be produced into thinner parts without sacrificing too much of its mechanical properties.
