Brass C22000

Brass C22000, or commercial bronze or Grade C220, is a copper-zinc alloy composed of approximately 60% copper and 40% zinc. It has outstanding mechanical strength and excellent corrosion resistance in various environments. The alloy’s moderate yield strength makes it highly suitable for fabricating components like bushings, nuts, bolts, pipe fittings, valves and custom parts. Its superior fatigue life means it can be used in applications requiring sustained operation at relatively high loads, such as heavy machinery and automotive components.

Brass C22000, also known as yellow brass or cartridge brass, offers high corrosion resistance and strength with excellent machinability. It mainly comprises 70% copper and 30% zinc and is used for commercial applications such as plumbing fixtures, electrical components, radiator components, ammunition cases and decorative hardware. Due to its natural durability in corrosive environments and non-magnetic properties, it is an ideal choice for use in industrial settings with harsh chemicals. Moreover, it can be cold-worked easily, meaning that intricate parts can be made with high precision without compromising on quality.
