Copper C12200

Copper C12200 is a copper alloy consisting of 99.9% copper and 0.04-0.03% phosphorus, with small amounts of sulfur, lead, arsenic and silver in trace amounts. It has good corrosion resistance and electric conductivity properties, making it ideal for use in wiring, tubing, plumbing systems, and other applications requiring electrical or thermal conductivity. The low phosphorus content prevents embrittlement due to the formation of phosphides at elevated temperatures during welding or brazing operations, making it an excellent choice for many metalworking processes and industrial equipment such as condensers, pumps and valves.

C12200 (DHP grade copper) is an oxygen-free high electrical and thermal conductivity alloy of copper. It has excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical strength, and excellent solderability. It is widely used in electronics for its superior electrical properties, such as low contact resistance and high-temperature stability. Its mechanical properties include high tensile strength, which makes it ideal for use in transformers, power supplies, switches, motors and other components that require higher-strength materials. In addition, C12200 can be used for plumbing parts since it can resist chlorine-induced stress corrosion cracking at relatively high temperatures while retaining good formability.
