Duplex S31803

Duplex S31803 is a two-phase ferritic-austenitic stainless steel with 22% chromium, 6% nickel, and 3.2% molybdenum as its major alloying elements. It also contains up to 0.08% carbon and lower levels of other metals such as manganese, silicon, phosphorus and sulfur. Compared to typical austenitic grades like 304L or 316L steel, this grade has an improved strength while maintaining its corrosion resistance properties in both oxidizing and reducing environments.

Duplex S31803 is a stainless steel alloy with properties such as high strength, corrosion resistance, and exceptional toughness. The duplex microstructure consisting of ferrite and austenite improves the material's performance in highly corrosive environments and makes it suitable for various industrial applications. This alloy manufactures several components, including pressure vessels, nuclear waste containers, piping systems, oilfield equipment, storage tanks and more. Additionally, Duplex S31803 also exhibits excellent weldability due to its relatively low carbon content.
