Duplex S32205

Duplex S32205 is a highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloy with impressive mechanical and physical properties. This material contains lower levels of molybdenum than other austenitic stainless steel alloys, which gives it a higher level of pitting, crevice and stress corrosion resistance than ordinary grades. It provides superior strength and wear resistance to many applications such as chemical processing, pulp and paper industry equipment, oil & gas production components, heat exchangers and valves. This duplex grade is also used in the medical industry due to its excellent fatigue, tensile, and yield strength compared to regular austenitic grades.

Duplex S32205 is a high-performance duplex stainless steel alloy. It combines the strength and corrosion resistance of austenitic and ferritic grades of stainless steel to create an alloy grade with excellent durability and stress-cracking properties. Its composition includes 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum, 5-6% nickel, nitrogen, and other variations of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus and sulfur in small percentages. This makes it ideal for applications exposed to harsh conditions, such as marine environments or extreme temperatures.
