Hastelloy C2000

Hastelloy C2000 is an alloy composed of approximately 52-58% nickel, 16-22% chromium, 13.5-17.5% molybdenum, 2 - 6 % manganese, 1.3 - 3% silicon and iron as balance elements in varying amounts. The alloy has superior corrosion resistance in many environments with excellent crack resistance even at high temperatures combined with good elevation stress rupture strength and thermal stability properties, making it ideal for usage within a broad range of industrial settings such as chemical processing plants, oil & gas production systems and nuclear reactors where fast maintenance cycles are required.

Hastelloy C2000 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that enhances corrosion resistance in many acidic and chlorinated environments. It is specially designed for application in the chemical process industry, where resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking is an important criterion for success. Other properties of Hastelloy C2000 include excellent weldability, thermal stability, superior mechanical properties, good formability, and compatibility with various detergents. It can be widely used in flue gas scrubbers, tanks and vessels lined with plastic or rubber linings, and chemical process piping systems - to name a few examples.
