Inconel 617 is a nickel-chromium-cobalt superalloy with an addition of niobium for enhanced high-temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation. This alloy has excellent resistance to carburization, oxidation, and nitriding atmospheres. Its composition consists of Nickel (58–63%), Chromium (20–23%), Cobalt (3–6%), Iron (13.5%), as well as other trace elements, including aluminium, copper, manganese, molybdenum and titanium. It also includes niobium, which provides exceptional strength during long-term exposure to high temperatures up to 2100°F (1150°C).
Inconel 617 is a highly versatile nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy that combines excellent oxidation resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. It has outstanding resistance to sulfidation, carburization, and chloride stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is widely used in the aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, and nuclear industries due to its high-temperature strength and superior oxidation resistance. Its ideal applications include turbine blades, combustion chambers, fuel nozzle components, and exhaust systems for turbines. The total number of clicks has risen from 109 last month to 127
