Inconel 690

Inconel 690 is a high-performance nickel-based superalloy. It contains more than 50% nickel with chromium, iron, and tungsten added for strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. It is used in heat exchangers, turbines, and nuclear reactors as an alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

Inconel 690 is a nickel-chromium alloy used in harsh corrosive environments such as hot water boilers, sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. It offers superior corrosion resistance over most other alloys by adding niobium. It also has excellent strength and oxidation resistance up to temperatures of around 1300°F (704°C), which makes it ideal for high-temperature applications such as furnace components, gas turbine blades, exhaust systems, heat exchanger tubing and petrochemical industry piping systems.
