Nickel Alloy 200 is a 99.6% pure wrought nickel alloy with low carbon content. It's often used for corrosion-resistant applications such as valves, pumps, and fasteners due to its excellent corrosion and heat resistance. The composition of Nickel Alloy 200 is mostly nickel (99.6%) but also consists of small amounts of manganese (1%) and copper (.25%). It has good thermal and electrical conductivity and strength at temperatures up to 600° F (316° C).
Nickel Alloy 200 (UNS N02200) is a commercially pure wrought nickel often used in corrosive and high-temperature environments due to its excellent resistance to oxidation, chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. With good mechanical properties, including tensile strength, flexibility, and low magnetic permeability, it is an economical choice for many applications, including food processing equipment, chemical handling pipes, caustic evaporators, condensers, heat exchanger valves and pumps in fertilizer plants.
