Stainless Steel 15-7 PH is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel. It has superior strength, good corrosion resistance and is easily formed during cold working. This grade contains 15% chromium, 3% nickel and 7% phosphorous for enhanced corrosion resistance. It's ideal for applications that require heavy load-bearing capacity due to its high toughness and strength. Its composition includes iron (89%), carbon (0.07%), manganese (1%), silicon (0.3%), chromium (15%), phosphorus (7%) and nickel (3%).
Stainless Steel 15-7 PH steel is a semi-austenitic precipitation hardening stainless steel that offers excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. It has good formability, ductility, flatness, toughness, and fatigue properties, making it suited for parts requiring strain-hardened strength up to 180ksi. Commonly used in applications that require higher hardness or good wear resistance, such as aircraft components, bolting systems, and shafts in valves.15-7PH also has great resistance to oxidation and stress corrosion cracking when annealed., making it well suited for medical instruments and dental equipment where superior corrosion protection is needed.
