Stainless Steel 316Ti

Stainless Steel 316Ti is a titanium-stabilized version of the Type 316 molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. It is characterized by excellent weldability and superior corrosion resistance in chloride environments. The type 316Ti contains, besides its high chromium and nickel content (18% – 20%), an additional amount of titanium to guarantee an improved resistance against intergranular corrosion. Its composition consists of a maximum of 0.08% carbon, 16–18% chromium, 2–3% molybdenum, 10–14% nickel, and 0.75 % manganese with the addition of titanium at 5 x (C+N).

Stainless Steel 316Ti is an alloy steel that offers excellent strength, durability, corrosion resistance and temperature resistance. It has a high melting point of approximately 1450-1530°C, making it suitable for use in high-temperature environments and being resistant to intergranular corrosion. This alloy also possesses superior weldability and machinability properties compared to other stainless steel alloys, making it an ideal choice for industries such as chemical processing, oil and gas exploration, automotive industry, etc.
