This material offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, stress corrosion cracking resistance and low thermal expansion. Ti-6Al-4V has an ultimate tensile strength of 138000 psi and yield strength at 105000 psi with an Elongation of 15%. It is considered the most popular titanium grade due to its widespread use in medical implants such as pins, rods and screws.
