Aluminium Forged Fittings

Aluminium forged fittings are silvery-white in colour and have good ductility. The element Aluminium belongs to the boron group. It is also one of the most abundantly found elements on Earth. The density of Aluminium Forged Fittings is remarkably low. An oxidising layer is created on the surface of aluminium, when exposed to corrosive environments. This layer is known to protect it from further corrosion and damage. Manganese, Magnesium, zinc, silicon and copper are some elements that are commonly alloyed with aluminium.

Aluminium Forged Fittings have only 30% density of copper. But these fittings execute the same level of thermal and electrical conductivity. Aluminium Forged fittings are superconductors, as these can conduct a temperature of 1.2 kelvin and 100 gauss of magnetic field. Socket-weld fittings and threaded fittings are two sub types made under the forged fittings group. These fittings are Elbows, Bushings, Half Couplings, Full Couplings and Stub-Ends. ASME standards are set to maintain the production quality of these fittings. Socket-Weld Fittings are maintained under ASME B16.11 and Threaded fittings are maintained under ASME B1.20.1 standards. These aluminium forged fittings find use in applications like transportation, street lightning poles, electrical transmission lines and cooking utensils also.
