Nickel Alloy Pipes

Nickel is a transition metal, which is hard and ductile. Nickel pipes are corrosion resistant, but can form oxide slowly at room temperatures. These pipes are ferromagnetic at room temperature. Nickel is used in the production of steel. About 68% of world’s stainless steel uses nickel. Nickel is the element used in alloys to give them additional tensile strength, toughness and ductility.

Economically the nickel used in these pipes is sourced from iron ore limonite. Limonite contains 1-2% nickel of its total weight. Nickel is also important for many biological species. It is used in rechargeable batteries and nickel-metal hydride batteries used in vehicles. Nickel pipes are used in chemical industry, petrochemical industry, Power generation, Coal and Gas industry, Oil & Gas, Food Processing, fertilizer production industry. Nickel Pipes are commercially available in grades such as Nickel 200, Nickel201. All these grades have properties such as excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, high strength, oxidation resistance, and carburization resistance at high temperatures.
