Nimonic Bars

Nimonic Bars are a superalloy which is primarily composed of nickel and chromium. This alloy is known best for its high performance and high-temperature resistance. Additional elements, such as aluminium, carbon, titanium and manganese, can be present depending on the grade. All these metals help ensure superior mechanical properties, including higher strength at elevated temperatures than other steel grades. Nimonic Bars have a wide range of industrial applications due to their dual properties of being both high performing in quality and cost-effective relative to other materials. It is commonly used in aircraft engine components due to its ability to tolerate structural stresses created by continuous vibrational forces, as well as used in automotive and marine industries.

These bars are developed using a combination of 80% nickel and 20% chromium, they feature similar characteristics to those of stainless steel but offer enhanced strength capacity. When heat treated at a range of temperature profiles, Nimonic bars can be crafted into shapes with improved resistance to fatigue loading and abrasion for more reliable working operations. They have increased weldability compared to other alloys, mainly in aerospace applications requiring high-stress conditions. Combined with their excellent corrosion resistance attributes, this makes nimonic bars one of the essential materials used by modern manufacturing and engineering firms today. These bars are available to customers in varied shapes, sizes, and dimensions from any reputable vendor.

These nimonic alloy bars include national and international standards and specifications like ASTM, ASME, ANSI and JIS. With it, the raw material used for manufacturing these bars is well-tested and inspected under the supervision of quality experts. Several tests are done to check the quality of bars, such as flaring test, flattening test, hardness, and third-party inspection. With it, these bars are packed in good quality wooden cases or boxes.
