Stainless Steel Fasteners

Stainless Steel Fasteners are oxidizable in nature and thus, are also known as Inox fasteners. These SS fasteners contain 10.5% Chromium of their total weight. The resistance properties of Stainless Steel fasteners is well known. SS fasteners do not undergo corrosion in reducing conditions. In sodium chloride pitting does not occur in SS fasteners.

Fasteners made from stainless steel are low on maintenance. This characteristic properties of SS fasteners make them usable in many industries. Fasteners are made in various type like Bolts, J-bolts, L-bolts, U-bolts, Screws, Nuts, Hex Nuts and Washers. Industrial as well as general household applications make use of stainless steel. Industries like chemical plants, road tankers and water treatment plants make use of SS fasteners. Austenitic, Martensitic, Ferritic and Duplex steels are four types of stainless steels used to manufacture SS Fasteners. Austenitic steel fasteners are the most commonly found stainless steels. These four types of steels have different purposes, where austenitic steel is the largest member of the stainless steel family. The number of grades in austenitic steels is high.
