Stainless Steel Sheet and Plates

Stainless Steel Plates are resistant to corrosion in reducing acids. These plates contain about 10-5% of chromium of their total weight. Stainless steel is also called as Inox steel, owing to its inoxidisable nature. Stainless Steel plates can well resist chloride pitting and oxidization. Thus, high strength and corrosion resistance requiring applications make extensive use of Stainless Steel Plates.

Plates are the thicker version of sheets. Millimetre and gauge are the two units of measurement for plates.  Plates made from Steel are used in Medical field, Automobile industry, Aircrafts, Buildings and Transformers. Stainless Steel requires minimal maintenance and has the properties to make it useful in many applications. Stainless Steel is highly popular and is used for standard culinary applications to industry spec applications. Stainless steel is used in paper mills, water treatment plants. Chemical plants, chemical tankers, and road tankers. SS products are also widely used in many Medical applications. Damage from Nitric and Phosphoric acid attacks does not occur in Stainless Steel Plates. Stainless Steel plates are commercially available in four types ferritic, martensitic, austenitic and duplex. Austenitic steels are the largest group. Austenitic steels make up for two-thirds of the steel production.
