Titanium is a silver coloured alloy with high strength and low density. Titanium is resistant to corrosion in sea water and chlorine. Titanium is alloyed with other elements such as aluminium, vanadium, molybdenum and iron to product other lightweight alloys. It forms a passive oxide coating, which protects it from oxidising in water and air. Titanium Forged Fittings are also capable of withstanding dilute sulphuric and hydrochloric acids. Titanium has immunity towards organic acids and chloride solutions. Titanium finds use in exotic applications like jet engines, space crafts, military, desalination plants, petro chemical industries and more.
