Hastelloy b3 Sheet

Hastelloy B3 sheet is a nickel-molybdenum alloy that is highly resistant to corrosion and can operate effectively in temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C). It exhibits excellent stability in both reducing and oxidizing media. The composition of Hastelloy B3 sheet typically consists of 72% nickel, 20% molybdenum, 3.7% chromium, 1-2% tungsten, 1.5% manganese, 0.6%-1.0% silicon, 0.08%-0.25 copper with the rest being iron and other trace elements for balance purposes.

Hastelloy B3 sheet is a nickel-molybdenum alloy commonly used in chemical processing applications due to its excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It offers superior thermal stability and has high strength and hardness at elevated temperatures. Other advantages of Hastelloy B3 sheets include improved formability, better weldability than other alloys in the series, and good machinability compared to similar materials.
