Alloy 20 Coil

Alloy 20 Coil

Alloy 20 coil is a highly corrosion-resistant austenitic alloy containing nickel, chromium, molybdenum and copper. It has excellent resistance to pitting/crevice attacks and stress-corrosion cracking in oxidizing and reducing environments. Alloy 20 Coil also possesses good mechanical properties, making it an ideal choice for industrial applications such as petrochemical processing, oil & gas production, pharmaceuticals & food processing. The composition of Alloy 20 Coil includes 30% Nickel, 19%-21% Chromium, 4-6% Molybdenum, and 2-3% Copper with the balance of Iron.

Alloy 20 Coil is a nickel-iron-chromium stainless steel alloy that offers superior corrosion resistance to other standard austenitic stainless steels. Its superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress cracking makes it suitable for use in acidic environments such as chemical processing and petrochemical equipment. It also has excellent mechanical properties, including excellent weldability, tensile strength up to about 80 ksi (550 MPa), annealing flexibility, and high hardness after cold working. It can be used in applications like furnace parts, process piping, tanks and valves or any other parts that may be exposed to highly corrosive solutions.
