The flanges are moderately resistant to high temperatures. They can withstand exposure to chloride ions. The alloy has excellent strength and retains its ductility when exposed to severe environments. The material is ideal for high-pressure applications because it is not prone to abrasion. It is resistant to pitting, crevice, and stress cracking corrosion. The alloy is moldable into various shapes, sizes, designs, and thicknesses to suit customer specifications. The most common types are slip-on, long weld neck, reducing, socket, swivel, square, spectacle, orifice, ring type joint, lap joint, flat, plate, conflate, and WNRF. They are classified into 150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, 2500#, PN6, PN10, PN16, Pn25, PN40, PN64, and PN100.


Properties of alloy steel F2 flanges

Mechanical and physical- The tensile strength of the alloy is 585MPa while the yield strength is 220MPa. The elongation capacity is 20% in 50mm. The melting point of the material is 14000 C while the density is 8.2g/cm3.

Chemical- The elements found in the flanges are carbon, molybdenum, silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, and iron.
