Alloy Steel Gr 12 Sheet is a low alloy, chrome molybdenum-containing steel used in various industries and applications due to its excellent heat-resistive properties. Depending on the grade, its composition includes chromium (1%), molybdenum (.5%), and other elements such as manganese, silicon, nickel & copper. This alloy also contains trace amounts of sulphur and phosphorus, improving weldability.
Alloy Steel Gr 12 Sheet is used for various applications, including pressure vessels, high-temperature services, heat exchangers and reactors. It has good flexibility and high corrosion resistance due to additional Chromium and Molybdenum elements in its alloy composition. It has excellent mechanical properties such as higher creep strength, oxidation resistance up to 1100°C, hardness at any temperature and fatigue strength in extreme conditions.
