Alloy Steel GR 5 Sheet

Alloy Steel GR 5 Sheet

Alloy Steel Grade 5 (AISI 4150) is a medium carbon chromium alloy steel made of Molybdenum and manganese. It has higher strength, toughness and wear resistance than conventional low-alloy steels while also possessing excellent fatigue strength and flexibility. The chemical composition of AISI 4150 includes elements such as Carbon 0.47 - 0.53 %, Manganese 0.60 - 0.90%, Silicon 0.15 – 0.35%, Phosphorus, Sulfur, Chromium >0 8%, Molybdenum>0 15%, IronRest); Nickel <1%.

Alloy steel grade 5 sheet is a low-alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum for increased strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Its properties include resistance to high temperatures, wear and abrasion, good dimensional stability, toughness and fatigue strength. Common uses of this alloy include aerospace components, agricultural machinery parts, railroad equipment, industrial pumps and valves.
