Alloy Steel Grade 11 Foil

Alloy Steel Grade 11 Foil is an alloy of iron and other carbon elements. This grade of steel can be further strengthened through heat treatment. Its composition includes 1.25 – 1.5% Carbon, 0.35 – 0.45% Silicon, 0.15 – 0.30 Manganese and trace amounts of additional alloying elements such as Phosphorus, Sulfur Copper and Molybdenum that contribute to its wear resistance and tensile strength at elevated temperatures up to 550C (1020F).

Alloy Steel Grade 11 Foil is used for many industrial applications due to its corrosion resistance, strength, and formability. Its properties include high corrosion resistance in both acidic and basic media and high electrical resistivity. It can be heat treated or annealed to achieve desired results. It also has excellent weldability, making it ideal for welded structures such as pipes and valves. Its flexibility allows for the fabrication of storage containers with complex shapes or intricate designs.
