Aluminium 5052 Sheet

Aluminium 5052 is the common alloy of aluminium with magnesium, containing between 2.2–2.8% of magnesium and 0.15–0.35% of chromium in weight percentage (wt%). It has a nominal tensile strength range from 31 to 44 ksi (214-303 MPa), an elongation level of around 18%, and a yield strength of approximately 29 ksi (200 MPa). The form-ability, weldability, corrosion resistance & durability make it one of the most widely used alloys in sheet metal forming applications.

Aluminium 5052 Sheet is a non-heat treatable alloy with better formability and welding characteristics than other alloys, such as 6061. It is also highly corrosion resistant, making it ideal for use in harsh environments or where regular maintenance needs to be minimized. Its strength and durability make it an attractive choice for applications like roofing panels, facades, HVAC components and even automotive parts. Its malleability makes it suitable for deep drawing operations and complex designs requiring intricate cuts.
