Aluminium Bronze Foil

Aluminium Bronze Foil

Aluminium Bronze Foil is a soft, malleable alloy composed primarily of copper and aluminium. Its other components may include varying proportions of nickel, silicon, iron, tin and zinc. Its purest form has excellent corrosion-resistance properties, making it an ideal choice for various industrial uses, such as heat exchangers and electrical conductors. Also, due to its low melting point and high tensile strength, aluminium bronze foil can be used when higher temperatures are involved or when lighter materials cannot bear the load or stress applied.

Aluminium Bronze foil is mainly used for industrial applications due to its high corrosion resistance and superior strength. It is also known for its superior electrical conductivity and abrasion resistance. It is widely used to manufacture specialized marine hardware such as valves, shafts, heat exchangers, condensers, etc. Aluminium Bronze foil properties include excellent formability, weldability and machinability. It also has good fatigue strength combined with sterling wear & erosion qualities, making it suitable for highly corrosive environments.
