s32205 Duplex steel Plate is a high-chromium stainless steel composed of two different microstructures combined in one material. It contains a minimum of 22% chromium and 4.5% nickel and 3% molybdenum and nitrogen alloying elements to increase its mechanical strength. This combination of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum makes duplex steel s32205 plate an extremely durable material with excellent corrosion resistance compared to regular austenitic stainless steel. Its low carbon elemental quantity also allows for welding with minimal risk of carbide precipitation at lower temperatures.
