Hastelloy B2 Coil

Hastelloy B2 coil is an alloy of nickel, molybdenum and chromium. This alloy offers excellent resistance to oxidizing conditions up to 1800°F (980°C), and it also provides superior stress-corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion resistance compared to other alloys. Its composition usually consists of 72% Nickel, 19% Chromium, and 9% Molybdenum; however, trace elements such as Tungsten, Iron, Silicon, and Cobalt can also be present in variable amounts. Due to its exceptional properties, Hastelloy B2 Coil is widely used in petrochemical plants for heat exchanger systems and pressure vessels.

Hastelloy B2 Coil is a high-temperature, corrosion-resistant nickel alloy with superior performance in extreme environments. It is known for its excellent mechanical strength and flexibility and its superior resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion. Its high chromium content gives it excellent oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures up to 2200°F (1093°C). Common applications include heat exchangers, furnace components, chemical processing equipment, nuclear fuel reprocessing units and pollution control systems.
