Hastelloy B2 Round Pipes

Hastelloy B2 Round Pipes

Hastelloy B2 round pipes are a collection of nickel, molybdenum, chromium and iron alloys. These alloys are resistant to corrosion and oxidation and have higher tensile strength than Hastelloy B. The chemical composition of this alloy is known as B16, mainly comprised of a base metal of around 44-50% nickel with just a tiny fraction of both carbon and manganese - 0.02% each, respectively. It also consists of 19-23% chromium, 16-20% molybdenum, 2.5-3.5% cobalt, 1-1.7% tungsten, 0.06-0.15% silicon, 0.03 max phosphorus and 0.035 max sulfur content along with other trace elements.

B2 Hastelloy round pipes find many uses in food processing, chemical processing and nuclear industries. The alloy is known for its strength and ability to withstand high temperatures, pressures and even corrosion under harsh conditions. Its good workability allows it to be formed into various shapes that can be used in demanding applications. Hastelloy B2 Round Pipes also boasts excellent resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and sulphide stress corrosion cracking which allows it to resist corrosion in highly acidic media like hydrochloric acid, giving it great versatility in industrial processes.
