The Hastelloy B3 Collar Pipe Fittings comprise a Nickel-Molybdenum alloy containing approximately 52.5% to 57.5% nickel and 20.5% to 23.0% molybdenum, respectively and a balance of carbon and iron along with a small amount of manganese and silicon. Copper can also be present in trace amounts but is kept below 0.6%. These fittings feature excellent thermal stability, high strength and elasticity, and good oxidation resistance capabilities, enabling them to resist localised attacks caused by aggressive environments - including chlorine ion stress-corrosion cracking. To further ensure the highest level of corrosion resistance for these fittings, the surface is commonly treated, plated or finished in either pickling or passivation processes.

B3 Hastelloy Collar Pipe Fittings are becoming popular among industrial engineers and architects due to their incredible strength, long-lasting wear resistance, and non-corrosive properties. Furthermore, these fittings have excellent heat resistance capabilities up to 1110°C even in highly oxidising atmospheres. This versatility allows them to be used for various applications, including flue gas desulphurisation systems where pollutants are removed from emissions and different petrochemical engineering environments where hazardous compounds may exist.

Hastelloy B3 collar pipe fittings offer superior options to traditional stainless steel pipes because they do not require frequent replacements or maintenance and are ideal for use in corrosive acid media such as hydrochloric acid and acetic, and phosphoric acid.
