B3

Hastelloy B3 Nipple Pipe Fittings are nickel-molybdenum alloys with excellent resistance to pitting, corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. In addition to these properties, they display good ductility, superior impact strength and weldability. The primary chemical additions in Hastelloy B3 include a minimum of 58% Nickel, 28.5-30.5% Molybdenum, an addition of 2.5% Cobalt, and a small amount of Chromium (1-2%) for formability and toughness.

Various components such as Silicon (0.08% maximum) and Iron (14%) also contain trace elements; though in minimal quantities, these still play a critical role in enhancing its desirable properties.

B3 Hastelloy Nipple Pipe Fittings possess versatile properties, making them the ideal choice for many industrial applications. Their low-carbon content makes them well-suited for welded construction, and their high-temperature resistance ensures they can easily handle highly corrosive environments. Due to their excellent pitting resistance, these pipe fittings are commonly used in systems handling halide compounds and atmospheres containing reducing agents. It also offers good mechanical strength and stress corrosion cracking, making it suitable for various operational temperatures. Its corrosion properties do not decrease when exposed to high-pressure steam, thus making them well-suited for use in hostile environments such as oil refineries and chemical processing plants. Furthermore, Hastelloy B3 Nipple Pipe Fittings require minimal maintenance, saving time and money compared to other fittings
