Hastelloy C22 sheet is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with excellent localized and uniform corrosion resistance. It has outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, stress cracking, and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1040°C (1900°F). The composition of Hastelloy C22 Sheet consists of Nickel 22%, Chromium 14.5%, Molybdenum 3%, Iron balance and Carbon 0.010%.
Hastelloy C22 sheet is a versatile and corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy resistant to general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular attack and stress corrosion cracking. It is commonly used in producing chemical processing equipment, parts exposed to hydrochloric acids, and components for reactors and heat exchangers. Other notable characteristics are its high strength at elevated temperatures and good formability.
