Inconel 600 Sheet is a hardwearing and corrosion-resistant Nickel-Chromium alloy, making it suitable for extreme conditions. This sheet contains a composition of 59 - 63% Nickel, 20 - 24% Chromium, 0.4 - 0.6% Carbon, 3 - 4% Iron, and 14.8 – 17.6% Manganese, with traces of other elements. It has superior mechanical properties, especially at elevated temperatures, while exhibiting exceptional resistance to oxidation and carburization in high-temperature environments. Inconel can further improve its qualities when heat treated or combined with other materials, such as Titanium or Aluminium to form or enhance corrosion-resistant layers on material surfaces.
Inconel 600 Plates are an alloy used for various applications due to their superior properties. This nickel-chromium-iron alloy features high resistance to corrosion and oxidation, even in extreme temperatures up to 2000℉. Additionally, the Sheet can withstand extremely high pressure and have excellent strength and toughness. As such, it makes an ideal material for objects that need to remain intact under extreme temperature or pressure conditions, like jet engine exhaust manifold segments, gas turbine components, and chemical processing equipment. Moreover, the production process requires little maintenance, ensuring significant cost savings in the long run.
Inconel 600 sheet is formed through a process called hot rolling, where a slab of Inconel 600 alloy is heated to a high temperature and then passed through rollers to reduce its thickness and increase its length. The sheet is then cooled and passed through rollers again to achieve the desired thickness and surface finish. It can also be formed through a cold rolling process.
Inconel 600 sheet is commonly used in high-temperature and corrosive environments, such as in the aerospace, chemical processing, and power generation industries. They are also used in oil and gas production and in heat exchangers, condensers, and other high-pressure systems.
Inconel 600 sheets and plates are classified under Harmonized System of Nomenclature (HSN) code 7226.90.90. It is used worldwide for duty and tax calculation purposes.
