Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with high levels of heat and corrosion resistance. It is composed mostly of nickel, chromium, iron, manganese, and cobalt; small amounts of aluminum and titanium are also present. Its excellent durability makes it an ideal choice in applications where strength and stability are essential.
Inconel 601 Sheets are typically used for applications that require excellent high temperature strength and oxidation resistance, such as petrochemical and industrial gas turbine components. It has excellent heat resistance characteristics due to its good oxidation resistance up to 2200°F (1204°C) with good creep rupture properties. It is also resistant to carburization, sulfidation, erosion corrosion and chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.
