It offers excellent creep resistance and stress rupture strength at temperatures up to 1800°F (980°C). The alloy can be formed, welded, machined, and hot or cold-worked using conventional equipment. Its applications include furnace parts, turbine blades, heat headers, and afterburner components in aircraft engines and combustion systems. It also finds extensive use in liquid fuel rocket thrust chambers.
