The alloy has high chromium and nickel content which give the flanges a high resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. Cr is ideal for enhancement of oxidation resistance by chemicals or heated gases. The alloy can withstand sodium hydroxide, chloride ions, and nitride precipitation. The flanges come in various types like screwed, long weld neck, spectacle blind, threaded, forged, lapped joint, and reducing flanges. There are several classes of the Inconel 690 flanges like 150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, 2500#, PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, and PN64. The material can be molded to fit customized specification in size, shape, and type. The alloy is annealed at temperatures around 10000 C.


Properties of Inconel 690 flanges

Mechanical and physical- The melting point of the material is 13500 C. The tensile strength is 580MPa while the yield strength is 260MPa. The elongation capacity of the alloy is 30%.


Chemical- The elements found in Inconel 690 flanges include carbon, nickel, chromium, silicon, manganese, copper, sulfur, and iron. It has high CR and Ni content to increase corrosion resistance.
