Phosphorus Bronze PB1 Coil

Phosphorus Bronze PB1 Coil is a copper-tin alloy containing 0.5 to 11% phosphorus and up to 0.7% manganese, which gives it excellent strength and hardness, good anti-corrosive properties and high electrical conductivity. It is also known for its low coefficient of thermal expansion, which makes it suitable for precision parts requiring tight tolerances in extreme temperatures.

Phosphorus Bronze PB1 Coil is a copper-based alloy with 1 to 1.5% phosphorus content, highly resistant to corrosion and known for its excellent electrical conductivity and durability. It has great utility in many applications, such as making springs, connectors, contact relays and wiring systems, due to its high thermal/electrical conductance properties, malleability and low cost. It also finds use in aerospace engineering owing to increasing the strength-to-weight ratio by adding small amounts of phosphorus into the alloy mixture. Its unique combination of properties makes it ideal for many commercial building materials like door handles, hinges, etc.
