Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Bars are one of the most commonly used grades of stainless steel and are defined as chromium-nickel-copper precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel. It carries excellent tensile properties, great corrosion resistance, and remarkable toughness, especially at elevated temperatures. Its composition consists of 15–17% chromium, 3–5% nickel, and 3–5% copper, the balance being iron.

These properties make it an ideal material for applications such as nuclear reactors, gas turbines, valves, fasteners, shafts and gears.
