Stainless Steel 253MA coil is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloy with added aluminium for improved heat resistance. It offers excellent oxidation and creep resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F). The alloy has a composition of approximately 23% chromium, 22% nickel, 2.5% manganese, 4.5% copper, 0.20% nitrogen and 0.30% silicon by weight.
