Stainless Steel 301 Sheet is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. Its composition consists of iron, 17–19% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 1.2–1.5% manganese, 0.02-0.15% nitrogen, 0.03–0.08% carbon and small amounts of other elements such as sulfur and phosphorus, as well as a higher amount of silicon than what is found in Type 302 or 304 steel grades.
