Stainless Steel 309S screws are composed of iron, chromium, nickel, and trace elements of carbon, copper, titanium, and manganese. The composition of these screws is as follows: Iron (F.E) – 61.90%, Chromium (Cr) – 24.00%, Nickel (Ni) – 11.50%, Carbon (C) – 0.08% or less, Copper (Cu) – 0.50%, Titanium (Ti) - 0.30%, Manganese (Mn) - 1.00%. The mechanical and chemical properties of these screws make them suitable for a wide range of applications, including welded assemblies and fastener products.
SS 309S screws are widely used in oil and gas, petrochemical, aerospace, power plants, and marine industries due to their excellent strength and durability. These screws offer good fatigue strength, excellent tensile strength and yield strength, high creep resistance at elevated temperatures, and exceptional oxidation resistance. In addition, these screws provide good weldability, formability, and corrosion resistance, making them an ideal choice for many industries.
