Stainless Steel 316 Foil

Stainless Steel 316 Foil is a type of stainless steel that contains at least 10.5% chromium and more than 15% nickel. It is an austenitic alloy, offering excellent corrosion resistance, formability, and ductility. It has superior weldability compared to other stainless steels, including 304, and it also exhibits greater strength at elevated temperatures when compared to other alloys. When exposed to chloride ions or salt water environments, the grade also offers excellent performance in pitting and crevice corrosion.

Stainless Steel 316 Foil is a grade of stainless steel that offers enhanced corrosion resistance and strength. It is especially resistant to chloride-based solutions, making it an ideal choice for saltwater locations or acidic environments. It's non-magnetic and has excellent weldability, ductility, formability and machinability. Due to its durability, it is often used in buildings, tanks, chemical and food processing equipment, and for electrical wiring enclosures. Additionally, it provides superior heat resistance up to 1600°F (871°C).
