Stainless Steel 316Ti Coil is a titanium-stabilized version of type 316 molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The stabilizing element in the composition gives it improved intergranular corrosion resistance and weldability properties, especially when used in high temperatures. Its composition consists of chromium (19-22%), nickel (10–14%), manganese (2%), silicon (1%) and trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur, along with titanium up to 0.7%.
Stainless Steel 316Ti Coil is a highly corrosion-resistant alloy, making it suitable for harsh environmental use. It also has superior strength and weldability, providing greater pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Its high-temperature oxidation resistance is ideal for heat-treated applications such as automotive exhaust systems. Stainless Steel 316Ti Coil offers excellent creep resistance at elevated temperatures up to 1500°F/816°C and good formability.
