Stainless Steel 317 Coil is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel alloy containing molybdenum, which increases its corrosion resistance. Its composition consists of 17%-19% chromium, 12%-15% nickel, 2%-3% molybdenum, 4-6% copper, and iron up to a maximum of 1%. This alloy has excellent formability and weldability properties while providing strength, durability and resistance against stress corrosion cracking.
Stainless Steel 317 Coil offers excellent resistance to corrosion, chemical attack and multiple forms of erosion when exposed to acids. It also has outstanding creep strength at elevated temperatures and good toughness and formability. Its austenitic structure further increases its heat resistance capabilities, making it suitable for applications requiring superior mechanical properties.
