Stainless Steel 321 sheet is a titanium stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel developed to provide an 18-8 type alloy with improved intergranular corrosion resistance. It contains about 10% more chromium than the 304 grade and possesses higher creep strength at elevated temperatures. Its composition includes 17-19% chromium, 9-12% nickel, 0.05%-0.1% nitrogen, and up to 0.2%-0.5% titanium in addition to carbon and manganese levels of under 0.08%.
