321H

Stainless Steel 321H Instrumentation Fittings are composed of iron, chromium, nickel, and titanium. Specifically, they contain 77-82% iron, 11-14% chromium, 0.25-1% carbon, 18-20% nickel, and 2-6% titanium. The high chromium content provides a strong corrosion resistance that makes these fittings suitable for use in the presence of acidic solutions such as sulfuric acid or formic acid. Adding nickel helps the fittings maintain their strength and stability at elevated temperatures ranging from -202°C up to 538°C. Moreover, titanium creates a shield against austenitic grain boundary precipitates that can lead to intergranular stress corrosion cracking (IGSCC). Consequently, Stainless Steel 321H Instrumentation Fittings enjoy excellent durability and robustness even under extraordinary environmental conditions.

321H Stainless Steel Instrumentation Fittings offer high corrosion resistance and excellent properties in environments up to 870°C. These fittings are ideal for use in environments that contain strong acids such as sulfuric, hydrochloric, or hydrofluoric. Additionally, their high-temperature performance is enhanced by adding titanium to their composition. They also have trace elements like phosphorus, sulfur and silicon, which helps them maintain strength at elevated temperatures and better resist intergranular corrosion. In terms of uses, these fittings can be applied in industrial processes involving refining equipment and petrochemical plants, power and process piping, aerospace systems and various types of turbines. Thanks to their robust nature, they are also used in food processing applications and other industries where corrosive elements may run rampant.
