Stainless Steel 405 Sheet

Stainless Steel 405 Sheet is a ferritic chromium-based alloy containing 11.5-13.5% chromium and trace amounts of other elements such as manganese, sulfur, phosphorous and silicon. It is an economical grade of stainless steel with good corrosion resistance properties and can be heat-treated for strength while maintaining flexibility. This alloy also has excellent formability, making it suitable for many machining processes.

Stainless Steel 405 Sheet has many uses in automotive applications, chemical processing equipment, food handling equipment, and marine or architectural components. It offers great corrosion resistance due to its 12% chromium content, which increases passive film formation on the surface of the metal. Additionally, it provides medium strength and excellent formability, making it ideal for deep drawing applications.
