Super Duplex Steel Sheet

Super Duplex Steel Sheet is an alloy made of a combination of chromium, nickel and molybdenum. It has superior strength and durability over regular stainless steel sheets, particularly in environments with high temperatures or high chloride content that can corrode other steels. Its composition also includes boron, selenium, and nitrogen to ensure excellent corrosion resistance, increased heat tolerance and improved mechanical properties.

Super Duplex Steel Sheet is a type of stainless steel that combines the properties of ferritic and austenitic steel types. It has a higher chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content than stainless steel. Its attributes include superior corrosion resistance in seawater, excellent strength-to-weight ratio, higher mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, and better stress corrosion cracking resistance than other stainless steels. As such, it can be used for applications like pulping equipment in paper mills, cryogenic tanks for liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels, desalination plants, etc.
